Welcome Charmar Canines

Welcome to our homepage, where our dogs are raised as part of our family. They are called "Our Kids". We have been breeding dogs since 1998. Our dogs are raised in a loving and disciplined home situation. We welcome visitors to come see us.

Our philosophy is we want to have happy, well-adjusted, and easygoing dogs. We are always striving to show them our loving ways and help them to become wonderful nurtured pets for you. It is our wish to give them a very healthy and positive beginning. We spend a lot of time giving them the basic training and commands so that they can go to their new homes in some semblance of safety for them. We start with the 5 basic commands and some housebreaking habits. Since each home environment is different, they still must be trained to your way of bathroom habits. We have found that the philosophy of the book by Jan Fennel, called "The Dog Listener" is such a wonderful idea that we try to adapt her methods to our dogs.

We do not believe in letting our puppies be placed in a home before they are three months old; they must have time to learn to be a dog with their parents first and then bond with you afterward. We may keep "Show Quality" dogs for 6 months to one year to make sure of that they are actually "Show Quality" and to prepare them for going into a show ring.

Our breeding practices are in the best interest of the dog. We strive for the best, naturally healthy body, great spirits, and also as close to the show standard that is possible. At times we do get pet quality but we will continue to strive for the best show quality we can.

So we invite you to please take a peek at some of our Papillons and Poodles, and our Chinese Cresteds.
